Brentwood is the Northernmost city in Williamson County, located just on the South side of Davidson county line.

The topography includes steep hillsides to gently rolling land, a few remaining well maintained farms, and mostly large 1 acre residential developments. Creeks and small rivers meander through the area.

Homes in Brentwood sold in 2003 for an average of $433,000. 880 homes sold in Brentwood last year. 223 new homes were constructed in 2002 at an average price of $339,000. I-65 serves Brentwood directly and offers 3 separate exits. This access has helped propel Brentwood into becoming one of the South's wealthiest suburban communities. There are still some remaining tracts of land to be developed under the close scrutiny of city officials. Values, for the most part have continued to appreciate over the past decade. Most homes have been built after 1970.

The population of Brentwood is 26,743. The median age is 41 years and the median family income is $118,450. 97% of Brentwood residents have graduated from High School; 65% have a bachelor's degree, and 26% a graduate or professional degree. 74% of the population are married and their drive time to work is 24 minutes. Brentwood has several well maintained city parks spread throughout the city. There are sports fields, picnic areas, and jogging trails.

Shopping is limited in the Brentwood "city" area due to zoning. However, there are several small commercial strip centers with large well stocked grocery stores. The regional malls: Cool Springs and Green Hills Mall are minutes away. Private schools are located within the city and Williamson County Schools are considered some of the best in the state.

The Nashville Airport is 20 minutes away and the John Tune private airport is 25 minutes away. There are no colleges or universities in the immediate vicinity, however, Vanderbilt University, Belmont University and David Lipscomb University are close by. The Nashville School of Law and the Nashville School of Ballet are also found just a few exits down the interstate.

Medical facilities include popular Williamson Medical facility (just off I-65) in Franklin. Vanderbilt Hospital, Centennial Medical Complex and Baptist hospital are within a 20 minute drive.
