Forest Hills is another private city, located between Oak Hill on the east and Belle Meade on the west. Most recently developed in the 1940's and 1950's this gently rolling to steeply hilled and forested neighborhood offers some of the most magnificent city views available.

Notable family names from the 1800's include Compton, Hunt, Hill, Williams, Keitel, Chickering, Morgan, Cotton and Vaughn.

Homes in Forest Hills sold in 2003 for an average of $503,000. 73 properties changed hands in '03 out of 1,791 homes. 9 homes were built in 2002 for an average cost of $941,000. Most homes were built prior to 1960. The population of Forest Hills is 4,710. Present and past US Senators reside in Forest Hills as well as senior executives from the corporate and Music world. Contemporary stone and wood estates dot the hill tops, offering peace and quiet only minutes from the vibrant downtown Nashville.

Values have historically risen as its location between Green Hills and Brentwood offer multiple work, shopping, and entertainment venues. Many homes are being upgraded, remodeled and revamped.

Only a small amount of land remains for development. Forest Hills maintains and enforces strict guidelines for any renovation or building.

Crime is negligible. This city is served by metropolitan Government for all services. The population of Forest Hills is 4,710. The median resident age is 45 years. The median household income is $125,000 year. 97% of Forest Hills families graduated from High School, 74% have a Bachelors Degree and 37% have a graduate or professional degree. 76% of Forest Hills residents over 15 are married and their drive time is 22 minutes.

Radnor Lake and Warner Parks serve the families of Forest Hills.

Forest Hills is a short drive from major interstates (I65 and I440) and has well maintained streets. The Nashville airport is 25 minutes away and John Tune private airport is within 20 minute drive.

Private schools are within a 10-20 minute drive. Vanderbilt University, Belmont University and David Lipscomb University are nearby. Major medical services such as St. Thomas hospital, Centennial Medical Complex, and Baptist hospital serve this city.
